The Uva region, located 1100 meters above sea level on the island of Sri Lanka, produces teas that possess a character distinct from their Ceylonese counterparts. These teas are ideal for adding “bite” and freshness to blends. Uva teas are notably astringent, with an intense floral flavor and a slightly sharp taste that results in a golden-colored cup.
